Home Hospice team members have the knowledge and skills to provide comfort and care. Our staff members have over 200 years of collective hospice experience.
Home Hospice is a nonprofit hospice governed by local leaders, providing extraordinary services to our neighbors since 1982. We have a board of dedicated volunteers and our “bottom line” has always been, and will always be, outstanding service to patients and families.
We are licensed by the State of Texas and Medicare-certified, with an experienced interdisciplinary team who work closely with your doctor, focusing on you, the patient, and you, the patient’s family members. You will find our highly skilled team — medical director, registered nurses and licensed vocational nurses, social workers, chaplain, bereavement coordinator, hospice aides, and volunteers are focused on your comfort and quality of life. Our team meets regularly to discuss how we might better meet your needs.
We are your neighbors. In addition to our agency board comprised of community leaders, we also have professional advisory councils that include physicians, nurses, clergy, social workers, and others. We have a dedicated team of trained volunteers whose mission is to be of service to patients and families.
We receive funding from the caring communities we serve – from United Ways, local foundations, trusts, churches, memorials, and corporate and individual gifts.
Our staff and volunteers have received numerous awards for outstanding achievements from the Texas and New Mexico Hospice Organization.
We began in Grayson County in 1982 and opened our Cooke County office in 1988.
We are accredited by Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP), which means we have exceeded the requirements and standards for hospice care set by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
