Home Hospice relies heavily upon the generosity of the caring communities we serve in order to provide the highest quality hospice care to anyone desiring it and eligible for it.   Home Hospice relies upon the support of the community to provide volunteer support. Volunteers are used in the areas of Professional Services; Patient and Family Services; Bereavement; Office Support and Auxiliary members.

When Home Hospice began in 1982, Reverend Dennis Wilkinson designed a very special tree as our logo.  The wooden portions of this tree - the trunk, branches and bases of the stones - were donated and carved by Ray Wright; while the plexiglass pieces that hold the clusters of leaves were donated and cut by Jim Fulton.  The stones represent donations made directly to Home Hospice of $5,000 or more.  Each leaf on this Hospice tree represents a donation of $500 to $5,000 to Home Hospice.  We are deeply appreciative of the gifts represented by each stone and leaf.  It is with the help of these organizations and individuals, along with the donations of many others, that enables us to provide quality care to the terminally ill and their families regardless of their ability to pay.

Home Hospice gratefully accepts tax-deductible contributions and donations. Gifts and memorials are accepted throughout the year and are acknowledged to the recipient and family upon receipt. Annually, the Home Hospice Auxiliary conducts Light up A Life, a funding campaign in which gifts are made to light symbolic lights on the Home Hospice Holiday Tree to remember or honor someone special. Individual and Corporate sponsorships are available for Light up A Life.
