Home
Hospice does bill Medicare, Medicaid and private
insurance providers. Home Hospice care is provided
regardless of an ability to pay; and 15% of our budget is
raised in and by the very caring communities of Grayson,
Cooke and Fannin Counties in which we serve.

Auxiliary President, Barbara Kirby, present the proceeds

Patients qualified for Medicare Part A or Medicaid and eligible
for our Hospice Benefit Program are fully covered for hospice
nursing, social work, counseling and spiritual care. In addition,
they are entitled to...
----medical equipment and supplies covered for care related
to their hospice diagnosis
----prescription drugs for pain and symptom management
----hospitalization related to the hospice diagnosis; in
hospitals contracted with Home Hospice, requiring approval of the
Home Hospice team
----nursing home care available to patients residing in nursing
homes contracted with Home Hospice
----respite care provided in several extended care facilities
contracting with hospice; visits by the Home Hospice team
continue during respite care, respite care requires approval of
the Home Hospice team.
The community of people throughout the three counties owns Home
Hospice. We are a non-profit United Way, tax exempt,
community-based program of caring. All donations are tax
deductible. Home Hospice shines as a community commitment of care
for our dying, their families and for those who grieve.
