Home Hospice does bill Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance providers. Home Hospice care is provided regardless of an ability to pay; and 15% of our budget is raised in and by the very caring communities of Grayson, Cooke and Fannin Counties in which we serve.

Auxiliary President, Barbara Kirby, present the proceeds of Light Up A Life, the Auxiliary's annual fundraising campaign, to Janice Bryant, Assistant Director, and Joan Douglass, Governing Board President-Elect.

Patients qualified for Medicare Part A or Medicaid and eligible for our Hospice Benefit Program are fully covered for hospice nursing, social work, counseling and spiritual care. In addition, they are entitled to...

----medical equipment and supplies covered for care related to their hospice diagnosis
----prescription drugs for pain and symptom management
----hospitalization related to the hospice diagnosis; in hospitals contracted with Home Hospice, requiring approval of the Home Hospice team
----nursing home care available to patients residing in nursing homes contracted with Home Hospice
----respite care provided in several extended care facilities contracting with hospice; visits by the Home Hospice team continue during respite care, respite care requires approval of the Home Hospice team.

The community of people throughout the three counties owns Home Hospice. We are a non-profit United Way, tax exempt, community-based program of caring. All donations are tax deductible. Home Hospice shines as a community commitment of care for our dying, their families and for those who grieve.
